UNMASKED

Pause.

Take one breath before you continue.
The Mask You Learned to Wear
Take the paper mask from your envelope.

Hold it for a moment before writing on it.

Ask yourself: What part of me performs? What role did I learn to survive? Who am I trying to be seen as?

On the mask, write the name of the role. Or the sentence it believes. Or the expectation it carries. There is no right way.

When you’re ready, choose how you will release it.
Burn it (safely).
Rip it.
Bury it.
Throw it away.

As you do, say quietly: “This role served me.It does not define me.”

Sit for one minute after.

Notice what remains.
What Remains
Without the role…what is still here?
You don’t need to answer this now.
Just begin noticing.
If this work resonated, you can continue the inquiry here.
