Each work in Curtain Call is a small, intimate portrait of a mask at rest. Rendered in mixed media and oil, these faces hover in a liminal space—no longer performing, no longer animated by role or audience. Expression is restrained, sometimes fractured, sometimes eerily calm. The absence of bodies or narrative context shifts attention to surface, texture, and trace: what identity leaves behind once it has been worn through. These works invite quiet contemplation, asking the viewer to sit with what remains after the performance ends—memory, residue, and the subtle unease of recognition.
